About

I’m a storyteller crafting timely & timeless branded solutions, websites, and design systems for small organizations and large corporations. I started my career in teaching undergraduate and graduate-level design while working in a studio; and then shifted to full-time photo & creative direction.

I have worked with a wide range of collaborators, clients, and businesses all around the globe and by listening, supporting, and analyzing, I understand the goals of a client, establish successful strategies and help synthesize solutions. I have explored and worked on teams in all forms of media — telling stories in print, motion, product, live experiences, and emerging technologies. Backed by a master’s degree, my teaching skills have helped me to be an honest colleague who excels in mentoring all levels of talent and can work with anyone, anywhere. 

Imagery is the the most widely spoken and globalized language, and with it, I work to tell the truth in compelling and unexpected ways. With unique life experiences, I excel at helping others see things from different perspectives. I encourage everyone I know to keep working for people, the planet, and peace. I’m a straight shooter, have a real respect for language, and always enjoy a good laugh.

In addition to my professional work, I have served on the board of Society of Typographic Arts (STA), organizing lectures about design, technology and typography. I have lectured and served as a visiting critic at grad and undergrad design programs across North America. My work has received numerous awards and my design work and writing has appeared in multiple foreign and domestic publications and exhibits.
